My work usually starts with a series of photographs which are developed through drawing and painting to produce abstract images.

I use a wide variety of techniques to interpret the colour, texture, pattern and marks made in my drawings.

My most recent work has been inspired by rocks; on closer scrutiny their hard, unforgiving surfaces have a delicacy of colour and pattern which I continue to explore.
